SAN JACINTO, CA — Mt. San Jacinto College Foundation has launched a Tribute Campaign honoring Superintendent/President Dr. Roger W. Schultz, who will retire in June 2026 after 25 years of service to the College, including 19 years as President. The foundation's launch was announced in a Monday news release. Two fundraising events are planned this semester to help launch the foundation's Tribute Campaign:

- Totally 80’s Celebration — June 13, 2026 A high-energy event featuring a live 80’s band and a special tribute to Dr. Schultz.
"During Dr. Schultz’s tenure, MSJC experienced significant growth and transformation—expanding campuses, strengthening academic and workforce pathways, and deepening its commitment to student success across the region. His leadership helped position MSJC as a cornerstone of educational opportunity for more than 29,000 students annually.
"To honor this legacy, the MSJC Foundation has launched the Tribute Campaign with a fundraising goal of $100,000 to be reached prior to Dr. Schultz’s retirement. Already, Dr. Schultz has made an t inaugural gift of $10,000 to launch the campaign.

“The true legacy of MSJC isn’t mine—it belongs to the thousands of students whose lives have been changed here,” said Dr. Schultz. “If I’ve played even a small part in helping them reach their dreams, then my career has been more meaningful than I could have ever imagined.”
All funds raised through the Tribute Campaign will be invested in two areas Dr. Schultz has long championed:
- 25% will support Student Success Initiatives, including scholarships, emergency assistance, and basic needs resources that help students persist and complete their educational goals.
- 75% will be endowed to support the MSJC University Center, expanding affordable, local pathways to bachelor’s degrees and strengthening the regional workforce.
To honor the generosity of contributors:
- Corporate donors giving $5,000 or more, and individual donors giving $500 or more, will be recognized on a donor wall.
- Donors may select the MSJC campus where their recognition will be displayed.
In addition to individual gifts, corporate and community sponsorship opportunities are available, enabling partners to support student success while being recognized for their investment in education and workforce development.
The MSJC Foundation offers flexible giving options, including one-time gifts, recurring donations, payroll deduction, employer matching gifts, planned giving opportunities, and sponsorship packages.
