Additionally, wedding ceremonies can resume, but wedding receptions are not allowed under the state’s stay-at-home order, the county said. Libraries may also reopen.

All businesses and services that are about to reopen or already have must take proper steps to protect employees and customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, the county warned. As people visit more places in the community, COVID-19 cases are expected to increase as they have done over the last week. Health officials are urging Riverside County residents to take steps to protect themselves and others from coronavirus by continuing to wear face coverings and keeping 6 feet of distance. Frequent hand washing is also critical to help slow virus spread, health officials said.

“We do not want to undo all the progress we’ve made in combating and slowing this disease,” said Vice Chair Karen Spiegel, Second District Supervisor. “We welcome more Riverside County businesses reopening and we encourage people to support those businesses that are protecting their employees, because it also means they care about protecting their customers.”

Health officials are also urging residents of all ages to get tested for COVID-19, with or without symptoms, to identify hotspots in the region.

"Testing continues to be an integral focus as more residents visit more businesses," the county said in its announcement.
