New Neighborhood Healthcare Clinic Receives Green Light From Menifee Planning Commission

MENIFEE, CA — A Neighborhood Healthcare clinic is expected to receive a new home in Menifee after plans for its development received unanimous approval from the planning commission.

On Aug. 12, the Menifee Planning Commission approved the 22,000-square-foot facility, which will be developed next to the 215 Freeway on Bradley Road, just south of Cherry Hills Boulevard.

The new clinic will provide primary medical health care, including services for seniors, women, as well as behavioral healthcare, and more. The clinic is expected to nearly triple its patient capacity from about 5,700 to 15,000 patients.

"We have Medi-Cal, Medicare, we have a sliding fee scale. The mission and purpose of Neighborhood Healthcare is to make sure we are providing quality service, and it doesn't matter your background or circumstance," said Corrine Busta, a spokesperson for Neighborhood Healthcare told the planning commission.

During the meeting, Busta said compared to the organization's old site, they will also nearly triple the number of employees at the new facility.

"Not only will we be going to provide quality care and expanded services, it's also going to be a wonderful economic driver to the city of Menifee," she added.

Neighborhood Healthcare currently operates a smaller clinic in Menifee on Cherry Hills Boulevard near the site where the new facility is planned.

Though the facility will also offer urgent care services, Mike DeLeon, a representative for Neighborhood Healthcare, told the planning commission the facility will not offer 24 hour service when it opens, but it may expand its hours of service later.

During the meeting, Commissioner Tammy Ramirez said she visited the site of the new clinic and asked about access for residents who use an adjacent crosswalk. Neighborhood Healthcare's representatives agreed to add a temporary walkway to the project.
