New Office Building Planned Near The Diamond Stadium

A proposal to construct a 4,342-square-foot office building on a vacant parcel near The Diamond Stadium was green-lighted by the Lake Elsinore Planning Commission Tuesday night.

The applicant, Hilla Gottlieb of Sherman Oaks, wants to build the single-story structure on a .42-acre parcel situated off Diamond Drive near Campbell Street. She is the architect on the project and is representing owner Tamer Ibrahim of Northridge. Ibrahim said he is part of a group of investors who want to open the six-suite office building on the vacant parcel that is zoned by the city as commercial mixed use. 

The project proposal also calls for 18 parking spaces at the site and a 75-square-foot utility room, according to city documents.

Because the project falls within the city’s Ballpark District, the architectural style will have some similar features as new development in the area, namely the Walgreens at 160 Diamond Drive.

Gottlieb said there are no current tenants who have stepped forward to lease office space in the proposed building but Ibrahim expressed he and investors are anxious to move the project along.

The project now moves on to city council for its approval.
