New Medical Facility Opens In Temescal Valley
The Riverside Medical Clinic facility replaces an existing clinic in Corona.
TEMESCAL VALLEY, CA — The health care provider Riverside Medical Clinic has opened a new, 97,000-square-foot facility in Temescal Valley, which it says will help address the county's shortage of medical care.
The facility, located at 21634 Retreat Parkway in Temescal Valley, is replacing the clinic's pre-existing Corona facility, which closed Aug. 30.
“The opening of the Temescal Valley facility has been the culmination of years of planning and developing a resource to meet the needs of our community in the western region of Riverside County,” said Riverside Medical Clinic President and CEO Judy Carpenter in a press release. “We quickly outgrew the Corona location and an improved facility was critical to the quality of service that our providers give to their patients."

The new facility features a wide range of services, including outpatient surgery, ambulatory care, primary care and urgent care.
The Inland Empire has California's lowest resident-to-physician ratio, Riverside Medical Clinic said in the release, citing a 2017 report from the Healthforce Center at the University of California, San Francisco. According to the report, the region has just 39 physicians per 100,000 residents, far short of the recommended ratio of 70 physicians per 100,000 residents.
