NWS: Thunderstorms May Roll Into Lake Elsinore

There's a slight chance we'll get some rain on Wednesday or Thursday, weather officials said.

A slow-moving upper level low pressure system off the Southern California coast will move eastward Wednesday, possibly bringing showers and thunderstorms to Lake Elsinore by the afternoon or evening, meteorologists said.

According to the National Weather Service, the areas most likely to see showers and thunderstorms in Riverside County on Wednesday will be the Riverside metropolitan areas and the local mountains.

There’s also a slight chance of showers in Lake Elsinore on Thursday, the NWS said.

Highs in the region Wednesday are expected to be in the mid-70s in Riverside metropolitan areas, mid-60s to low 70s in the mountains and mid-80s in the Coachella Valley.

Winds will be mostly light, peaking around 15 miles per hour this afternoon, according to the Weather Service.
