Ortega Highway Planned Closures For Road Work: Drivers, Be Advised
A 55-hour road closure is coming, and road work continues along this part of the Ortega Highway.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — The Orange County to Lake Elsinore throughway will undergo some nighttime work next week, Cal Trans District 8 advised.
"The SR-74 Ortega Highway will undergo weeknight work starting next week, Feb. 23, for the ongoing lane widening safety project," a spokesperson said.
There will be flagging Monday through Friday, and a full road closure from S. Main Divide to Grand Avenue.

CalTrans's typical night work schedule is slated from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday.
Plan your drive accordingly, they said.

Also of note, a 55-hour road closure is scheduled for Friday. Mar. 13 from 10 p.m. to Monday, Mar. 16. at 5 a.m.
During that time, there will be no through access on the Ortega Highway from Orange County to Lake Elsinore.
