Pedestrian Killed Along Hwy 74 ID'd
The 71-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene Friday morning, officials said.
HOMELAND, CA — A pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle in the unincorporated Homeland area of Riverside County near Menifee was a Homeland resident, the Riverside County coroner said Sunday.
Milton Horkey, 71, was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner said.
Firefighters responded about 3:30 a.m. Friday to the 31000 block of Highway 74 and located the pedestrian, who died at the scene, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

It was unclear if the pedestrian was in a crosswalk or in lanes of traffic at the time of the crash.
The California Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
