Perris Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Gun And Drug Possession

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, a 42-year-old man possessed a loaded firearm, meth and scales.

PERRIS, CA — A 42-year-old Perris man was arrested for allegedly possessing a loaded firearm and narcotics, sheriff's officials said Sunday.

Deputies encountered the suspect in his car after noticing "suspicions activity" at about 8:50 p.m. Saturday behind businesses on Indian Hills Circle and Fourth Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies arrested Jamall Walters after allegedly finding he had a loaded 9mm handgun, ammunition, 19 grams of methamphetamine and scales.

He was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing illegal drugs, among other alleged crimes.
