Police ID Woman Killed Near Hemet Mobile Home Park
Reckless driving is not suspected in the fatal incident from Sunday night, according to Hemet Police.

HEMET, CA —Rose Dattoli, 36, of Hemet, was struck and killed attempting to cross a Hemet street Sunday, according to the Hemet Police Department.
Just after 6:30 p.m., Dattoli was fatally injured after "stepping into traffic on Stetson Avenue, near California Avenue, in the area of the Santiago Palm Vista Mobile Home Park. "She entered the roadway for unknown reasons," in an area with no marked crosswalk or traffic signal, and was hit by a vehicle."
The driver immediately stopped and called 911.

Hemet Fire Department paramedics reached the location minutes later and pronounced Dattoli dead at the scene.
"Reckless driving is not suspected," the police department stated.

The motorist, whose identity was not disclosed, was questioned but not arrested.
Anyone with information about the death was asked to contact the police Traffic Bureau at 951-765-2400.
