Public Input Sought On Proposed Elsinore, Perris Connector Corridor

The project is still in the design phase, and county officials want to hear from residents prior to completion of the "Corridor Vision."

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — The first of four public meetings to inform Riverside County residents of plans -- and solicit their input -- regarding a direct route between Perris and Lake Elsinore will be held Wednesday.

Riverside County Transportation & Land Management Agency officials will detail the proposed configuration of traffic lanes, bicycle paths, pedestrian access ways and other features of the Ethanac Expressway Corridor Project during a conference at the Lakeland Village Community Center, beginning at 6 p.m.

The project is still in the design phase, and county officials want to hear from residents prior to completion of the "Corridor Vision" about a year from now.

According to transportation officials, several miles of improved roadway surface will be needed to build the expressway, which will run between Interstate 215 in Perris and Interstate 15 in Lake Elsinore, by way of Nichols Road, state Route 74 and the existing portions of Ethanac.

The corridor would traverse segments of Canyon Lake, Mead Valley and neighboring unincorporated communities, according to the design map.
