Red Flag Warning Remains in Effect
Blowing dust and broken tree limbs could also be a problem.

A red flag warning indicating a high risk of wildfire resulting from strong winds and low humidity was in effect in Riverside County today for the second consecutive day.
The National Weather Service issued the warning until 4 p.m. for metropolitan areas around Riverside and the mountains of Riverside County. The warning did not extend into the Coachella Valley.
Through this afternoon, sustained northeast winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour and gusts of up to 45 mph were expected in the metropolitan and mountain areas, along with a low daytime humidity of around 5 percent.

“Onshore flow will return tonight and Wednesday with a gradual increase in humidities,” the NWS said.
The agency also issued a less serious wind advisory for metropolitan areas until 2 p.m. A wind advisory is issued for winds that can make driving difficult, especially for drivers with high-profile vehicles.

“Watch for broken tree limbs and localized blowing dust,” the NWS warned.
