RivCo Woman Arrested After More Than 500 Guns Seized: Sheriff

Deputies seized rifles, shotguns, and handguns after serving the search warrant, authorities said.

PERRIS, CA — A 45-year-old woman accused of possessing more than 500 firearms and multiple related charges was arrested, authorities said.

Authorities initiated an investigation into the illegal sale of firearms and served a search warrant on Friday around 10 p.m. in the 26000 block of Sultanas Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

During the search, deputies from the sheriff's station in Perris seized more than 500 firearms, including rifles, shotguns and handguns, authorities said.

The suspect was identified as Maria Force of Homeland. She was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility for illegally selling firearms, selling firearms with altered serial numbers, grand theft of firearms, and possession of a concealed firearm, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
