Nichols Road Closure In Lake Elsinore Scheduled Into 2023
Nichols Road extended closure was slated to begin Oct. 24 and last until May 2023.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — An extended road closure is planned for traffic on Nichols Road from Interstate 15 to El Toro Road or later this month, the city of Lake Elsinore reported over Twitter. The closure will allow contractors to perform a utility installation and roadway re-alignment project, according to the city.
The city expects the closure and detour, slated to begin on Monday, Oct. 24, to remain in place until May 2023.
The city said drivers will be diverted from Nichols Road to Ranch Road throughout the construction, and a posted speed limit of 25 mph would be enforced.

The I-15 on- and off-ramps at Nichols Road will remain open throughout the project.
