Vehicle Hits Home; 1 injured, 4 Displaced

The driver was freed from the vehicle and hospitalized in the crash reported Thursday night.

HEMET, CA — One person was hospitalized Friday morning and four people displaced when a vehicle crashed into the side of a home in the unincorporated Winchester area of Riverside County near Hemet.

The crash occurred in the 33000 block of Simpson Road about 9 p.m. Thursday and the driver of the vehicle was trapped inside, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The driver was freed from the vehicle about 9:35 p.m. and taken to a hospital with moderate injuries, the department said. No other injuries were reported.

Red Cross officials were called to the scene to assist the four displaced adults with finding a place to stay.
