Second In-N-Out Burger Opens In Lake Elsinore

The long-planned fast-food eatery opened Thursday at 18490 Dexter Avenue.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A second In-N-Out Burger has officially opened in Lake Elsinore.

The long-planned 3,800-square-foot fast-food eatery opened Thursday at 18490 Dexter Avenue.

In-N-Out Burger is best known for its hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and "Double-Doubles" (two hamburger patties and two slices of cheese), French fries, milkshakes, and fountain drinks.

For those familiar with the notorious traffic near the city's other In-N-Out Burger location at 331 Railroad Canyon Road, know that officials worked to ensure better motor-vehicle flow at the newly constructed second location. A condition set by the city for the project was that the developer construct a traffic signal and intersection improvements at Third Street and Dexter Avenue.

Other requirements included a two-lane drive-thru with 31 queuing spaces and driveways on Allan and Crane streets.

In October 2023, the Lake Elsinore Planning Commission meeting voted 5-0 to approve permits related to the development project to house In-N-Out. City Council later approved the project.
