Sewer Work Prompts Closure Of Riverside Drive In Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Crews will be performing improvement work on the sewers in Lake Elsinore, prompting the closure of eastbound Riverside Drive starting Wednesday, Sept. 9, the city announced on Thursday.

Eastbound Riverside Drive will be closed between Lake Crest Drive and Lincoln Street, but all westbound lanes will remain open during the work.

The city advised motorists trying to reach the eastbound side to use a detour by taking Grand Avenue to Machado Street, to Lincoln Street, and to Riverside Drive.

Motorists were also advised to allow extra time for traveling, follow all posted detour signs, and use caution when driving through the work area.
