SigAlert Issued On Eastbound 91 Freeway After Big Rig Overturns
The eastbound state Route 60 transition to northbound Interstate 215 was closed.

UPDATE:
RIVERSIDE, CA — A tractor-trailer overturned on the eastbound Riverside (91) Freeway near downtown Riverside Friday, blocking most lanes, causing a miles-long backup.
The crash happened about 1:10 p.m. in the No. 3 lane of the eastbound 91 at Spruce Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency said the trucker apparently lost control approaching the 60/91/215 interchange, causing the big rig to jackknife and land on its side. No other vehicles were involved.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Riverside Fire Department paramedics, but it was unclear whether he required hospitalization.

Oil spilled from the truck's engine block, and the fire department requested a Caltrans crew to conduct a clean-up operation, according to officials at the scene.
Three of five lanes were obstructed, but the HOV and No. 1 lanes remained passable. The eastbound state Route 60 transition to northbound Interstate 215 was closed.
A SigAlert was issued at 1:25 p.m. due to the traffic jam through downtown Riverside.
CHP officers were coordinating with Caltrans for removal of the semi, which was expected to be out of lanes by 3 p.m.

RIVERSIDE, CA — A tractor-trailer overturned Friday afternoon on the eastbound Riverside (91) Freeway at Spruce Street, near downtown Riverside, prompting a SigAlert.
No other vehicles were involved, but most lanes were blocked, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck was reported shortly after 1 p.m.
As of 1:40 p.m., only the #1 and HOV lanes were open.
Traffic was backed up to 14th Street.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
