Skydiver Crash-Lands Near Lake Elsinore, Suffers Serious Injuries: Cal Fire
Emergency responders rushed to the scene near Skydive Elsinore on Thursday, where a man was injured after a "hard landing."
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — One skydiver suffered serious injuries when they crashed-landed near a Lake Elsinore intersection Thursday afternoon, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported.
Just before 4:45 p.m., 911 dispatchers received numerous "skydiver down" calls in the area of Corydon Road and Plessner Way, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
One skydiver suffered injuries from the "hard landing" just west of the intended landing zone at Skydive Elsinore.

"There were multiple 911 calls on the incident," Cal Fire spokesperson Tawny Castro told Patch. Initial reports of a second skydiver a block away on Bryant Street were in error.
Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputies also responded to the scene and investigated, but could not locate any other victims other than the Corydon Road and Plessner Way incident.

The male skydiver's identity was not disclosed. He was taken to nearby Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar for treatment, according to the sheriff's department.
There was no word on what may have caused the parachutist to miss the landing zone. Patch has reached out ot Skydive Elsinore for a comment on the incident and will update this report when that is received.
Skydive Elsinore runs parachute operations daily when the weather permits, with aircraft departing from a private strip about a half-mile southeast of the lake.
