STORM ALERT: Lake Elsinore Giving Out Free Sandbags Ahead of Storm

Heavy rainfall is expected in the area beginning Thursday.

The following is an announcement from the City of Lake Elsinore:

According to the National Weather Service, heavy rainfall is expected throughout the region Thursday and Friday. Residents who need sandbags may go to the following locations to receive a limited quantity of empty sandbags that can be filled with gravel or sand (while supplies last).

  • City Public Works Yard - 521 North Langstaff Street
    • Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On weekends, unfilled sandbags and sand will be available outside the main entrance of the City Yard.
    • Up to 10 free sand bags per resident.
    • Bring a shovel and an ID or utility bill for proof of residency. All sand bags are empty and must be filled by the residents.
  • Local Fire Stations
