Strawberry Creek Bridge Upgrades Underway: Caltrans
Work on the SR-74 Strawberry Creek Bridge between Hemet and Mountain Center will take place through Sunday, according to Caltrans.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Work on the Strawberry Creek Bridge near Lake Elsinore, between Hemet and Mountain Center, was slated to begin this week, and run Monday through Sunday until completion, Caltrans reported Friday.
The California Department of Transportation continues to work on the $17.9 million bridge retrofit project, which will upgrade and preserve two historic bridges: the Morrill Canyon Bridge and the Strawberry Creek Bridge.
"Improvements include retrofit and upgrades with slab overlay and new guardrail systems on the existing bridges," a spokesperson for Caltrans said. Lane and shoulder widths will be brought up to modern standards, they said. No wide loads or oversized vehicles will be permitted at either location during the retrofit, according to Caltrans.
