Streak of Rising Gasoline Prices Ends in Lake Elsinore-Wildomar

The 20 days of price increases ended with a decrease of one-tenth of a cent.

A 20-day streak of increases that pushed the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Lake Elsinore-Wildomar area to its highest amount since Sept. 12 ended Thursday with a decrease of one-tenth of a cent.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties of $3.757 is 20.6 cents more than one week ago and 58.9 cents higher than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

However, it is 49.8 cents less than one year ago.

The average price rose 64.9 cents during the streak, including four-tenths of a cent on Wednesday.
