Three Injured In Lake Elsinore Boat Fire

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A boat caught fire Saturday in the middle of Lake Elsinore, injuring three people on board.

The fire was reported at 6:27 p.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters were taken by Riverside County Sheriff's Department boat to put out the fire, officials said.

Three people were evaluated for injuries, with one taken to a hospital with moderate injuries, fire officials said. Two people with minor injuries declined to go to the hospital.

Firefighters put out the flames at 7:22 p.m. and the boat was towed out of the water, officials said.

Both the sheriff's and fire departments will investigate the fire.
