Warmer Temps Expected Around Lake Elsinore Wednesday

Offshore winds accompanied by a building ridge of high pressure aloft will bring warmer temperatures to Riverside County Wednesday, meteorologists said.

Daytime highs will be in the high 60s to low 70s in Riverside metropolitan areas, high 50s to low 60s in the mountains and low to mid-70s in the Coachella Valley, according to the National Weather Service.

Northeastern winds are expected to gust at speeds of 30 miles per hour, with the strongest winds likely near the Banning Pass and along and north of Interstate 10 in the Coachella Valley.

“Winds will shift to more of an easterly direction and weaken for Thursday and Friday,” the NWS said.
