Wildomar Becomes the Expert

…AT KICKING THE FINANCIAL "CAN" DOWN THE ROAD

There is a problem with the City of Wildomar being the Inland Valley’s premier star at kicking the financial “can” down the road.  At some point in our future all the city’s many years of avoidance of dealing upfront with debt and financial irresponsibility are going to come to a convergent point.

It now appears in fact that sometime around 2019 Wildomar’s financial “chickens” are going to come home to roost.

Currently, no matter how many convoluted, piecemeal financial reports the city puts out including Parks, Breakfast with Santa, Animal Control etc. or how many speeches our city officials make to bolster the perception of Wildomar’s rosy financial outlook, the promises of stability and prosperity are simply not in reach.

The Wildomar council’s inability to face up to financial reality; to curb the growth in city expenditures on new employee hiring and new, grandiose projects while failing to provide adequate fundamental services to the community will lead to a crisis.

Come election time in November the people of Wildomar will have to decide if the same city council members who have steadily dug the city into this financial hole, are the same people who can dig us out of it. 

I’m thinking it’s time for some new help!
