Wildomar Fire: Woman, Cat Displaced in Weekend Blaze

Fire officials say the woman's home was uninhabitable after the fire.

WILDOMAR, CA - A woman and her cat were displaced after a fire ripped through her Wildomar home this weekend, fire officials say.

According to Riverside County Fire Department Spokeswoman April Newman, the blaze was first reported by "mulitple" people at 10 p.m. Saturday in the 32000 block of Crescent Avenue.

"The first arriving engine company reported a single story, double wide with fire from the rear corner," Newman said.

The fire was put out by 27 responding firefighters about 30 minutes later, she said.

No injuries were reported, but the American Red Cross was requested to provide aid to the displaced female resident. Animal control was helping with the cat.
