…Hit Rock Bottom with Bare Minimum Standards
Update as of 1-31-2014
In response to someone who is evidently content with the bare minimum legal communication requirements; here is my response:

As to the City's communications and notifications, our elected officials have made commitments to certain standards or systems which they have put in place at considerable expense to the taxpayers', and they have recommitted to those systems or protocols repeatedly in public announcements and e-mail correspondence. That they now are selectively failing to keep their promises or meet the standards which they, themselves, have put in place is cause for concern and perhaps alarm. Some people see a pattern of secrecy and deliberate concealment in this behavior which has no place in what should be open, honest local government.
As Wildomar citizens’ ire over the lack of decent communications with the public reaches a new high, the city’s response is to trot out the lame excuse of using the bare minimum legal requirements. And, sometimes they don’t even do that!

If pressured further, they have the audacity to remind us that the city has retrenched to meeting only the lowest of the minimal legal notice requirements. This is followed up with pleas of being overwhelmed, overworked and short staffed...and no commitment to when the system will be functioning reliably again.
For those of you who may think this issue is a "trivial" point, consider how important it would have been to know about the Walmart Scoping meeting which was held last week without any e-mail or website notices for Wildomar residents. Wouldn't you have wanted to know about that and have the chance to express your opinion?
The upshot of these questionable practices is that only a handful of citizens attended an extremely important Scoping meeting. While by comparison, the previous meeting on the Walmart project, held before incorporation drew maybe 200 attendees!
