Woman Killed After Jumping Off Menifee Freeway Bridge ID'd

A woman was killed after she jumped off the McCall Boulevard overcrossing onto southbound Interstate 15 in Menifee, authorities said.

MENIFEE, CA — A woman who was killed after she jumped off the McCall Boulevard overcrossing onto southbound Interstate 15 in Menifee was identified Sunday as a 53-year-old Murrieta resident.

Dawn Redman intentionally jumped off the bridge around 1:50 p.m. Saturday and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP said Redman landed on a white Hyundai Accent traveling approximately 80 mph driven by a 45-year-old Temecula woman who suffered minor injuries.

After striking the first car, Redman was hit by a gray Lexus RX 500 traveling approximately 60 mph driven by a 53-year-old Winchester man who was uninjured by the impact.
