• Teen, 14, On E-Motorcycle Hits Man, 81, And Flees Scene In Orange County: OCSD (patch.com) — Lake Forest residents are being urged to come forward with any information after an 81-year-old man was critically injured in a hit-and-run involving a 14-year-old on an off-highway electric motorcycle near Toledo Way and Ridge Route Drive. Deputies say witnesses helped them quickly identify the Lake Forest teen, who was arrested and booked into juvenile hall, while investigators continue to seek additional tips.    

• Man Pleads Guilty to Fatally Stabbing Sister in Lake Forest (mynewsla.com) — A man has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to killing his 22-year-old sister and attempting to kill another sibling in a Lake Forest apartment in 2023. Deputies responded to screams for help on Osterman Road, evacuated nearby homes, and ultimately shot the knife-wielding suspect before he was taken into custody and later convicted.
