21-Year-Old Arrested For DUI Crash That Killed Motorcyclist: Police

LAKE FOREST, CA — A 21-year-old man was arrested in Lake Forest on suspicion of driving under the influence during a crash that left a motorcyclist dead.

The crash happened early Wednesday morning at 5:42 a.m. in the area of El Toro Road and Creekside, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Upon arrival, deputies found the motorcyclist, 55-year-old David Matthew Atwood Sr., of Lake Forest, dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Matthew Christian Biedebach, 21, of Lake Forest, deputies said.

Biedebach was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and booked into the Orange County Jail.
