LAKE FOREST, CA — One person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a hit-and-run crash in Lake Forest Wednesday, authorities said.
Orange County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the area of Lake Forest Drive and Muirlands Boulevard for a two-vehicle crash at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Upon arrival, a Toyota pickup involved in the crash fled the area.
According to OCSD Sgt. Lizbeth Gwisdalla, two subjects fled from the pickup truck on foot, leading police on a short chase through Veterans Park.
Both suspects were detained, and the driver of the truck was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, Gwisdalla said.
No injuries were reported and no further information was immediately available.
