LAKE FOREST, CA — An 83-year-old man died and another man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Lake Forest Thursday night, authorities said.
The crash happened at 8 p.m. on Thursday when Orange County Sheriff's deputies responded to the area of Portola Parkway and Market Place regarding a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, deputies found the victim on the ground with severe injuries.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was not identified by deputies.
The driver of the vehicle, 48-year-old Sean Micheal Kooklin, of Lake Forest, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
