LAKE FOREST, CA — Two people were killed and a girl was hospitalized after a head-on crash by a wrong-way driver on the 241 Freeway in Lake Forest, The Orange County Register reported.
The crash happened at around 10:35 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 in the southbound lanes just north of Lake Forest Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol log.
CHP Officer Joseph Rodriguez told The OC Register that a woman driving a Honda SUV was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when the SUV slammed into a BMW sedan being driven by a man.
The driver's were identified as 57-year-old Norma Herrera of Irvine and 39-year-old Joseph Kyle Massey of Rancho Santa Margarita.
