LAKE FOREST, CA — A Lake Forest pool supply store is shutting its doors for good amid several nationwide closures.
Leslie's Inc., a Phoenix-based seller of pool chemicals and other products, said 13 stores are closing in Southern California.
The closures impact a swathe of locations, including one in Lake Forest — located at 23778 Mercury Rd. — and another in Tustin.
The closures also extend to locations in Chatsworth, Cerritos, Encinitas, Diamond Bar, Montebello, Palm Desert and more.
The closures come after the company announced that it would close 76 stores nationwide as part of a bankruptcy restructuring.
According to Leslie's Inc., the company experts to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy with a smaller footprint and stronger financial position starting in early 2027.
However, with over 900 retail locations across 38 states, the longstanding company is not going out of business.
"Leslie's is here to stay, and we will be stronger for you on the other side of our restructuring," Leslie's Chief Executive Officer Jason McDonell wrote in a statement to customers.
According to McDonell, the pool retail chain has lined up interim financing of $90 million and a cash infusion of $60 million from the sale of company equity.
