K9 Sniffs Out Big Drug Bust On 5 Freeway In Lake Forest: Police

LAKE FOREST, CA — An Orange County Sheriff's Department K9 made a big discovery over the weekend in Lake Forest.

The incident happened sometime over the weekend in Lake Forest, when a vehicle was pulled over on the Interstate 5 Freeway for multiple violations, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

K9 Billy was soon put on the case and alerted deputies to the presence of drugs in the vehicle.

Deputies soon uncovered 21 kilograms of cocaine and a large amount of cash inside the vehicle.

"The driver seemed a little more nervous than most, so they called in Orange County Sheriff K9 Unit," the department said in a statement. "The goodest boy, K9 Billy did his thing and alerted to possible narcotics."
