Thousands of people flocked to Heritage Hill for the updated Harvest Festival. From 4:30 to 8:30 pm the parking lots and the streets surrounding the area were filled with cars, while inside adults and their kids in colorful costumes played games, met with celebrities (Wonder Woman, Cinderella), listened to great music, participated in contests, and otherwise had a great time.
Kiwanis International had a food stand and I ran into Mayor Pro Tem Leah Basile and her children there, getting a hotdog and some drinks from Col. Tom Cagley. Elsewhere Mayor Voigts was shaking hands and making the rounds, and many of our Deputy Sheriffs and Volunteers were in evidence.
This was a great day for the City and especially our families.
