2 Men Arrested For Suspected Murder Of Another Man In East County

Authorities said two men have been arrested and suspected in the death of 32-year-old Jorkim Rose in August in Spring Valley.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities said Tuesday two men have been arrested and suspected in the death of 32-year-old Jorkim Rose in August.

On Nov. 18 just after 11 a.m., Sheriff's Homicide Detectives and the San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 23-year-old Dejell Broadnax at an apartment complex in the 700 block of South Twin Oaks Valley Road in San Marcos, according to authorities.

A few days later, on Nov. 21, shortly after 3 p.m., the San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 28-year-old Jordan Mitchell near a park located in the 1000 block of Bostonia Street in El Cajon, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said.

Broadnax and Mitchell were booked into the San Diego Central Jail on murder charges, according to the sheriff's department.

It appears the suspects and the victim did not know each other but the circumstances and motivation for the killing seem to be gang-related, according to authorities.
