51-Year-Old Man Dies In Fight In San Diego's East County
A 32-year-old man was detained in connection with the fight in Lemon Grove, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
LEMON GROVE, CA — A man died Monday in a fight with another man in eastern San Diego County, authorities said.
Deputies responded to a report of a stabbing around 2 a.m. Monday in an apartment in the 3700 block of Grove Street in Lemon Grove, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. They found a 51-year-old man in "medical distress." He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"At this point it appears the alleged stabbing is unfounded, but a physical altercation did occur," sheriff's Lt. Chris Steffen said.

A 32-year-old man was detained in connection with the fight, Steffen said.
The names of the suspect and victim were not released. The case was under investigation.
