• Video captures foot pursuit of driver who fled after hitting parked car in La Mesa (cbs8.com) — A La Mesa couple was jolted awake Sunday night when a car flipped outside their home and smashed into their parked vehicle, all caught on a Nest camera. After the driver ran, they chased him on foot while updating La Mesa Police, who arrested the suspect, though the couple is still waiting on insurance and identification details.
   

• La Mesa to fund city's first Pride event, coming in 2027 (timesofsandiego.com) — La Mesa is officially funding its first-ever Pride celebration, planned for June 2027 in La Mesa Village with music, a march from Vons, and a 21-plus area. The City Council unanimously approved $15,000 from the Village Enhancement Fund, aiming to spotlight local businesses while giving the city's sizable LGBTQ+ community a visible, homegrown event.
