Arrest Made In Connection With Fatal La Mesa Trolley Station Stabbing
Stephen Calhoun, 39, of San Diego was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing at the 70th Street Trolley Station.

LA MESA, CA — A 39-year-old man was arrested Saturday in connection with a fatal stabbing at a La Mesa trolley station.
La Mesa police responded at 8:40 p.m. Thursday to a report of a man down at the 70th Street Trolley Station at 7255 Alvarado Road. Officers found a man with an apparent stab wound to his chest, according to police.
The victim, a 47-year-old man, was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Stephen Calhoun, 39, of San Diego, was arrested shortly before 8:30 a.m. Saturday in downtown San Diego, with the help of the San Diego Police Department and the Metropolitan Transit System.
Police said he would be booked on suspicion of murder.

It was unclear what led police to Calhoun, or what relationship he had, if any, with the victim.
