“Our reporters have been at the fire lines for many major
fires recently, such as the Chariot Fire and Shockey Fire,” said East County
Magazine editor Miriam Raftery. “As
nonprofit media, we rely on community support and it’s important to replenish
our reporting fund before peak wildfire season this fall, so that we can
provide live reporting during wildfires for our online news site, alerts, and
now, we have added live wildfire alerts on the radio, too.”
