6th Grade Camp Open House This Saturday

The San Diego Outdoor School Program will be holding a special open house at Camp Cuyamaca this Saturday, September 29, from 10am to 2pm.

The camp is located in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park and has provided a safe, educational, and fun wilderness experience to countless numbers of 6th graders from across San Diego County.

While the La Mesa Spring Spring Valley School District is no longer able to provide district financial support, the camp will be hosting LMSVSD students during Spring Break from March 25 to 29, 2013.

Jane Linquist, a Parkway Middle School parent volunteer, is serving as the coordinator and hopes that interested parents and children will be able to visit for the open house to see what a wonderful experience camp is for the students.

Directions:

8 East past Alpine to the Japatul exit, Hwy 79. Turn left at stop sign at bottom of exit. Drive 3 miles and turn left at the sign marked Julian, Cuyamaca State Park and Hwy 79.  Drive 6 miles and turn right at School Camp sign. Parking is tight- carpool if possible.
