Construction in La Mesa, Mt. Helix, and Spring Valley, as represented by ZIP codes: 91941, 91942, 91977, and 91978, saw a 12.5-percent increase for the week of October 28. A total of 54 permits were issued, over the previous week's 48.
Though no new homes were built, residential remodeling activity saw six more projects building. New solar energy projects remained steady, with another six starts reported this week.
