Helix Highlander Band and Color Guard Bring Home Two More Trophies!

The Helix Highlander Band and Color Guard brought home two second place trophies from the Mira Mesa HS Band Review & Field Show Tournament.

The Helix Highlander Band and Color Guard performed another moving rendition of their Field Show “Music from Carmen” at the Mira Mesa High School Band Review & Field Tournament on November 3rd, earning two second place trophies for their efforts!  Our students have been training for these competitive tournaments for many months, and it is truly wonderful to see their hard work rewarded.  Congratulations, Highlanders!

The Highlander Band’s competitive parade block took fourth place in their division performing John Philip Sousa’s “Nobles of the Mystic Shrine.”  As always, our Helix Highlander Color Guard, Bagpipe and Marching Bands looked impressive marching down the parade route in unison.

We’ll be competing in our final tournament on November 17th at Savanna High School in Anaheim.  It’s the last weekend of competition for the year, when all participating bands and guards are at their peak.  We wish our Highlanders the best!
