Where is My Candidate? Questions for Presidential Hopefuls
Where is the fiscally conservative, social moderate that most of America yearns for?
The seemingly never-ending election cycle is as frustrating as ever. Just when it looks like someone is espousing my goals and is electable, they start spouting off about gay marriage, abortion, and a host of other social issues — many of which the federal government should have nothing to do with. Most of which are secondary issues to many of us.
I think I want the same as many Americans — someone who is going to get our financial house in order, maintain a reasonable national defense, restore lost freedoms, and return a lot of the federal government’s current power back to the States, where it belongs. Is this so much to ask?
Where is the candidate
- who will reduce the size of government and end deficit spending?
- who will extricate us from endless overseas wars that have no viable endgame?
- who will stop stifling business and allow for job creation?
- who will truly reduce our dependence on foreign oil?
- who will say that gay marriage is a state issue, and just leave it alone?
- who believes in a woman’s right to choose?
- who will end the useless “war” on drugs?
- who will reign in the growing “police state” we currently live in?
- who will not pander to the religious right?
- who does not have a closet full of skeletons?
