MOUNT HELIX, CA — Patch reader Mary Kirk captured this photo of a flowering plant at Mt. Helix Park.

"The weird looking flower is called the caterpillar phacelia," explained Kirk, who serves as event and development coordinator of Mt. Helix Park Foundation.
