Crews Battle Weekend I-15 Car Fire
No injuries reported by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
SAN DIEGO, CA – Firefighters were called Sunday shortly before 4 p.m. to a car on fire along southbound Interstate 15 just north of Interstate 8, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
"Fortunately, no one was hurt, and the crew of engine 45 worked very quickly which saved the majority of the driver’s belongings," officials said.
No details wr released on the cause of the blaze.

The department reminded motorists to reduce speed or safely change lanes when law enforcement vehicles or fire crews are present on the shoulders of freeways.
