A cup of coffee with Senator Joel Anderson in La Mesa

La Mesa City Council hosts State Senator Joel Anderson, Thursday, Aug. 24th

California Sen. Joel Anderson (R-Alpine) will listen to constituents and invite ideas to improve state government at a “Community Coffee” from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, at the American Legion Post #282, 8118 University Ave., La Mesa. The free event, open to the public, is being hosted by La Mesa City Council members Guy McWhirter, Bill Baber, Kristine Alessio and Colin Parent.

“My top priority is making government work for you,” said Anderson. “This will be an opportunity to hear directly from my constituents about their needs, opinions and legislative ideas to make state government more effective and efficient. In addition, my district staff will be on hand to help constituents resolve any issues they may have with a state agency.”

For more information, contact Anderson’s El Cajon district office at (619) 596-3136, or visit www.senate.ca.gov/anderson. RSVPs are requested by Wednesday, Aug. 23, to (619) 596-3136. Anderson’s 38th Senate district includes Poway, Santee, El Cajon, La Mesa and most of East San Diego County. He was first elected to the state Assembly in 2006 and to the state Senate in 2010.
