​Enjoying The La Mesa Sunset: Photo Of The Day

LA MESA, CA — Patch reader Amanda Sprague submitted this photo on behalf of her boyfriend, Brandon Taylor, who captured the picture of a hummingbird at sunset in La Mesa.

"My boyfriend took this photo from my front yard and I just have to share it," Sprague said. "We've been working in the yard a lot and getting to know the abundance of wildlife here. We're guessing we have about four hummingbird families. This one has a nest just below their perch here and often comes out this time of day to watch the sunset."
