The La Mesa Environmental Sustainability Commission is hosting their annual "Sustain La Mesa" free environmental festival this Saturday from 10am to 3pm at Harry Griffin Park ( 9550 Milden Street, La Mesa 91942).

The theme for this years event is "Bringing Green to the Table".

This is the 6th such event in La Mesa and will feature the announcement of winners in the K-12 environmental art contest, environmentally themed booths, electric car demos, green friendly cooking, and a special butterfly release at 2:15 pm.

Commission member and LM-SV School District Board Member Bill Baber said; "We want our neighbors to see the many ways La Mesans value a sustainable environment. It's  educational and fun!"
